Common questions

Where are the grown-ups settings?
Tap the gear (“For grown-ups”) on the home screen. A short parent check (a number written in words, typed as digits) opens the grown-ups corner: settings, the practice report, recordings and purchases.
How do I restore a purchase?
Grown-ups corner → Settings → Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Purchases are shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Hear yourself says the microphone is off.
Open the Settings app, find Say With Bear, and turn on Microphone. The app asks for the microphone only when Hear yourself is first used.
Where are the recordings, and how do I delete them?
They stay on this device and are not included in backups. Grown-ups corner → Voice → Recordings library, one row per word. Swipe a take to delete it, or use the tidy-up buttons to remove older takes. Deleting the app removes them all.
How do I share progress with our speech-language pathologist?
Grown-ups corner → Progress → See the practice report (PDF). It makes a PDF on your device that you can save or share. It shows practice counts and days, never scores.
Does the app collect data?
No. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and it works offline. Read the privacy policy.
Is this speech therapy?
No. Say With Bear is a practice tool for children and their grown-ups. If you have questions about your child’s speech, talk to a speech-language pathologist.
