Say With Bear: Speech Practice — Privacy Policy

Say With Bear is a speech-sound practice app for children and their grown-ups. We built it to collect nothing about your child or your family.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and no third-party software that collects data. It does not connect to the internet to work.

What stays on your device

• Practice counts and settings, such as which words were practised, on which days, and your choices in the grown-ups corner. These stay in the app on your device.
• Voice recordings. If a grown-up allows the microphone, the app records your child saying a word so you can hear it next to the bear. Recordings stay on your device. They are not uploaded, and they are not included in device backups. A recording leaves the device only if a grown-up chooses to share it, from behind the parent check.
• The practice report (PDF). It is made on your device, and only leaves it if a grown-up shares it.

You can delete recordings at any time in the grown-ups corner. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Microphone

The app asks for the microphone only when Hear yourself is first used, never at launch. You can turn it off any time in the Settings app.

Purchases

Purchases go through Apple’s App Store. We don’t see or store payment details. Apple tells the app only which purchases your family owns, so they can be opened on your devices.

Children

The app is designed for children to use with a grown-up. It collects no personal information from children. Purchases, sharing, settings and the grown-ups corner sit behind a parent check.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (for example, if we add anonymous usage counts that can’t identify anyone), we’ll update this page and the App Store privacy details first.
